About CCTV drain surveys

A CCTV drain survey uses a waterproof camera passed through the drain to record what is happening inside it. Instead of guessing why a drain keeps blocking or smelling, you can see cracks, root ingress, displaced joints, sags where water sits, and build-up along the pipe.

What does a CCTV drain survey show?

It shows the inside of the pipe: cracks, roots, displaced joints, collapses, sags, build-up and the general condition of each section. It can also help confirm the direction and route of the drain.

Do I need a survey when buying a house?
